Nickelodeon (often shortened to Nick) is an American pay television channel which was first tested on December 1, 1977, until it eventually launched on April 1, 1979 as the first cable channel for children. It is owned by ViacomCBS through its domestic networks division and is based in New York City. The network's programming is primarily aimed at children and adolescents aged 2–17, while some of its program blocks target a broader family audience.

A dissapointed customer said this in a review: "I grew up watching Nickelodeon channel, it was awesome when I was little, all the cartoons were the best. Now that I’m 27 years old, I currently love watching cartoon today but Nickelodeon tv has became awful now. There are more live action shows about kids that play now that became really dumb and stupid. I just want my childhood cartoons from Nickelodeon back and get rid of the live action children television shows".

"This is something that happened when I was laid due to restructuring. After I was my last day, my then boss (no longer works at the company) decided that all the locks and door access needed to be changed because as she mentioned to my colleagues that she was afraid I would come back and steal stuff. In hindsight I was the only african american in the department and the only one she mentioned. Racism is alive and real at Viacom, it only shows up in small moments but this has been bothering me for a while and it feels good to finally voice it."

"I was an employee here a few years back. The studio in Burbank is VERY cliquey. Very much like high school unfortunately. No matter how hard you worked, if you weren't in really tight with the "popular kids" you almost had no chance for advancement. There are a few back stabbers that only care to further their careers by burning others. The work load is HUGE, which is fine IF they compensated accordingly, but they don't. Two years after starting, I was only making $20 more than my start pay. I still have friends that work there and they have told me just how unhappy they are there with recent changes that company has made to benefits and compensation. I will never look for employment here again.free water and soda. the annual halloween festivitieslow pay, high work. lack of respect and consideration for employees."
